In Wazzup, you can chat with clients in WhatsApp and Telegram group chats.
To connect group chats, you do not need to do anything — they already work for you.
Group chats are displayed in Wazzup chats in Bitrix24 and Kommo, as well as in our applications. They are also visible in Bitrix24 Open Channels.
How group chats work in Kommo
You can chat in group chats in Kommo chats, Wazzup chats and in our applications.
The first message in a group chat creates a group contact and a deal or “Incoming leas” — it depends on step 2 of the integration settings in your Wazzup account. Next messages will not create anything so as not to make a mess in the CRM.
If a contact is added to a group chat that is not in CRM, we will not create anything in Kommo. A new contact and a deal with a client will appear if the client writes in a dialogue with the company, but not if in a group chat.
The seller can write to the group chat:
- from the Wazzup window with all the seller’s correspondence. To open it, you need to click the WZ button in the left Kommo menu,
- from comments or Wazzup chat in the group contact card, deal,
- from Kommo chats.
The sales reps see the group chat in two cases:
- there is a client in the chat for which he is responsible in CRM,
- the salesperson is responsible in CRM for a group chat contact or deal.
Group chats are also seen by managers and quality control.
The sales rep receives notifications of all messages in the chat — even if he wrote a contact for which another seller is responsible. If one employee resets the unanswered chat counter, the counter will be automatically reset for others as well.
If the group contact does not have a responsible person, the chat will be seen by all sellers who receive new customers.
You can’t write to a group chat using Salesbot.
You can create a group chat only in the WhatsApp or Telegram application. Or if someone adds you to the chat himself.
Telegram group chats are only available from Telegram Personal channels.
Wazzup does not support chats with more than 100 participants and channel discussions in Telegram.
How group chats work in Bitrix24
You can work with group chats in Wazzup chats in Bitrix, in our applications, and also in Bitrix Open Lines (OL) if the channel is connected to them.
You can create a group chat only in the WhatsApp or Telegram app. Or if someone adds you to the chat himself.
Telegram group chats are only available from Telegram Personal channels.

If you communicate in Wazzup chats, the sales rep sees only those group chats in which there is at least one of their clients (for whom he is responsible in CRM). Group chats are also seen by managers and quality control.
The sales reps receives notifications of all messages in the chat — even if they wrote a contact for which another seller is responsible. If suddenly one employee resets the unanswered counter in the chat, it will automatically reset to zero in the chats of other sales reps who see this group chat.
If the client has not been added to CRM, all sellers who receive new clients will see the chat. You will find out which of the sellers forgot to enter a contact and create a deal, and you can fix it.
If the client is in a group chat, this chat can be opened from the CRM card.
Group chats do not create a single lead, contact, or deal. This was done on purpose: if employees and contacts that are not needed in CRM participate in the discussion, there will be no mess.
If you communicate in Bitrix24 Open Channels, you will be able to create a contact card manually. But you will not be able to write to a group chat from the card: you cannot send a message using the “SMS/WhatsApp” function.
The rules of chat visibility will be the same as for dialogs in the Open Channel.
