How to connect Viber to Wazzup

You can connect as many Viber numbers as you want to Wazzup. On each number, chats are distributed to the right employees, and the manager controls the correspondence.

Most companies need just one number, but some companies need several numbers because they have

Several branches. For example, a chain of beauty salons, where each salon needs a separate number. Employees won't have to distribute requests to branches - clients will write to the right place;

Several departments. For example, the sales department would have one WhatsApp account, and HR would have another WhatsApp account; then job applicants would go to HR, and clients would go to sales.

Different groups of customers that different people work with. For example, retail customers are handled by some salespeople and wholesalers by others;

Each manager has a different number. This is the case for those guys who handle big deals, like selling real estate or cars, and work with the client personally. They usually have business cards with a personal number on them.   

If you don’t have a Viber account yet, register it for the number your customers already call. Then they can call and text to the same number.

If you have just registered a Viber account, we advise you to use the messenger from your phone for 24 hours. It is enough to communicate with 10-15 people, you can write anything and to anyone.

How to connect Viber

When active chats appeared on the number:

1. Go to the “Channels” section in your Wazzup account.

2. If you are connecting a channel for the first time, select Viber.

If you already have messengers connected to Wazzup, click “Add a channel” → select Viber.

3. Scan the QR code: in the Viber app on your phone, tap “More” on the bottom right → QR code icon in the top right corner.

4. After a few seconds, you will receive a notification that you are logged in to your account from a new device. In the application on your phone there will be a suggestion to synchronize chats — click “Sync”.

Done — Viber will appear in the “Channels” section.

The last three conversations with messages will be loaded.

The rest of the chats will be loaded when there are new messages in them: you write to the client or they write to you.

When you have added your first Viber channel, you have a three-day test period. You can use the service for free and test features without restrictions

How not to get banned from Viber

Viber may ban you for spam. Blocking can be both temporary and permanent, but there are no transparent criteria from Viber. That‘s what they say:

If you are suspected of being a spammer, your account will be blocked. This means that you won’t be able to send any messages; however, you will still be able to receive messages.

Most first-time account blocks are temporary and resolved automatically after 24 hours. If Rakuten Viber’s anti-spam system identifies you as a spammer again, you will be permanently blocked.

You may be suspected of being a spammer if you used Viber to:

  • Send messages containing suspicious links, phone numbers, or email addresses
  • Send messages to people who don’t have you saved in their contact list, resulting in them blocking or reporting you
  • Send the same message to a large number of people
  • Send messages from your business to people who didn’t consent to receive messages on Viber from you

We advise you to respond to notifications in Wazzup chats in time. For example, if you receive an error with the text below when sending messages from the Viber channel, you need to check if everything is in order in the Viber application itself:

Message not sent. Viber may have blocked your number. Try sending the message from the Viber app. If it doesn’t work, and there are no restrictions from Viber, please contact our support.
