Correspondence on Instagram chats

Through the official Instagram, you can correspond in direct and reply to comments. Incoming messages from Direct come as ordinary messages, a comment to a post will come as an incoming chat message with a link to the post.

Is it possible to be the first to write? No. You can write first in Direct from the app on your phone. When the client responds to your message — a 7-day dialog session will open. During this time, you can write to the client from the Instagram API channel.

Each incoming message from the client extends the dialog for another 7 days. If the 7 days have passed, you won't be able to send the client a message.

How to reply to a post comment If you reply to a message with a quote — the message will go as a reply to a comment on the post.

You can only reply to a comment with a quote from Wazzup chats. It will not be possible to reply to a comment with a quote from Kommo chats or Bitrix24 Open Channels.

How to reply to a comment on a post with a Direct message If you reply to a comment without quoting — the message will go to the client in Direct.

Reply to a comment in Direct is possible only within seven days from the date of publication of the comment. And for each comment, you can send only one message in Direct, and then you have to wait for the client's response.
